We embark on our beautiful photo tour walk using the encircling pedestrianised street of Dionysiou Areopagitou we go direct to Hadrian’s Gate and see the historic site of the Temple of Zeus, we will walk through Zappeio and discover the Panathinaiκon stadium, the original Olympic stadium. then onto the Parliament building with the tomb of the unknown soldier with the Greek army guards marching in the traditional way.
Moving into Plaka, we head to the The Tower of the winds, (Ancient octagonal tower used as a weather station) and the Roman Agora,
We then go towards the Ancient Agora and the walkways leading to Thissio and then stroll upwards onto the Ancient Wall of Pnyx with a wonderful view of the Acropolis. Then we climb Philopappos Hill to the Monument of Philopappos, from this elevated location we have a wonderful view of the Acropolis. Finally we return to our starting point.
